SQA Engineer

Overview:

Napollo Software Design is currently looking for a Software Quality Assurance (QA) engineer to monitor every phase of the development process to ensure that the design and software adhere to company standards. A Software Quality Assurance engineer who meets deadlines by breaking up the development process into attainable testing goals and relaying any issues back to the development and product teams

Core Responsibilities:

• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
• Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
• Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
• Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
• Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
• Review user interfaces for consistency and functionality

Good-to-have Skills:

• Proficiency with at least one web development language, such as Python, Php
• Strong organizational and project management skills

Education:

• Associates degree in computer sciences or related field

Experience:

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in core development areas
• A combination of education and experience will be considered
